The last of the footage slated for “In The Blood”…we proudly present to everyone “Rummy Worms”. So we finally scraped one video in our careers here at Nascency, its sad but it happens. On the upside most of what would have been “In The Blood” is free to view online, so it was not a total waste! And as time moves on we get presented with new opportunities…oh yeah, we have some new stuff in the works!

“Mayhem” - XDL Nashville

Round 2 of the XDL Competition Series went down last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee and the cameras of Nascency were there to document the action. The premier sportbike freestyle competition, in conjunction with Hot Import Nights, did not disappoint. Riders such as Aaron Twite, Josh Borne, Nick Apex, Alex Flores, and Bill Dixon came from all across the country to throwdown for points and prize money, on the way to the finals in Long Beach, California to be held in November of this year.
While Brad Rorabacher was one of the official XDL cameramen of the weekend, I only got to shoot the practice but still came out with some mint shots. This clip is dedicated to Josh Graham and Darrick Stafford who were both injured during the competition this weekend. You can find out more about both of their situations here and here.

post The Nascency Project, now carrying Azhiaziam Clothing…

Funny name, sick clothing! Azhiaziam is an underground company from the depths of Morro Bay, CA that has been quietly taking over since 2001. Check out this excerpt from their site to learn a little more…

“Az-hi-az-I-am is a Aerial Sports based Clothing Brand. It was started on the Central California Coast line by a local surfer named Mike “Lopaka” Jones. Jones who has always been fascinated with getting “AIR” decided to start a company away from the big cities, the hype and the industry… 7 years later the brand has shops in Tahiti, Hawaii, California, Florida and Washington (to name a few).”

Everyone here at Nascency has been a big fan of Mike and Azhiaziam since we were introduced to them a few years ago, and we are super stoked to be able to offer up some of these fine threads to the world. Check out the store to see what we have in stock right now and look for more of the designs to be added throughout the rest of the year.

post Promotional Materials…

This week we have two new promo videos up on the site for everyone to check out. First up is the 2008 promotional video for “Pancake” Pete Scheidt. Pete needed something fresh and new to show to his sponsors so we hooked up the mad cake maker with some new video goodness. Pete also has a new website (www.pancakepete.com) up now, also designed and put together by The Nascency Project. So, check out the vid, check out the site and throw Pete some love for doing huge, huge tricks on a jet ski!
We also have a new promo video up for our favorite brothers, Jacob and Aaron Brunelle of Geared Up. Having a distinctive style for everything they do, you can’t help but watch the brothers anytime they are around! Expect to see more from Geared Up later this year as we get new footage with them in Florida as well as Puerto Rico, where (I believe, unless travel plans get messed up) our very own Brad Rorabacher should be returning from right now. The footage from that trip should be pretty sick, but you’ll have to stay tuned to see when we come lose with the goods!

post Where Does the Time Go…

Ummmmm, so yeah, we have not posted any site updates in awhile. But, this does not mean we haven’t been busy here at The Nascency Project, so lets see what new!
First and foremost we have a new picture gallery. After months and months of searching we have the new gallery up and running just the way we want it (for now). Check it out and let us know what you think.
I also changed the look of the site again. See why I said before that a site update in a year was everyone here doing good?
In travel news, Nascency has been around the world and back! In February we made our way to France and Switzerland for the Indoor Streetbike Championships, held every year in Zurich. To save on time here i will tell everyone that if you want to know how that trip went, check out the latest issues of Street Monsters magazine, originating from France, and Stuntride magazine, right here in the US.
Upon returning to the states, Heidi Beers had a few days to rest before she went out to the 2007 XDL Finals, held in Long Beach, California. Everyone at The Nascency Project would like to congratulate Alex Flores for coming out on top and being crowned the 2007 XDL champion! The XDL finals are also in the latest issues of Street Monsters and Stuntride, so you can get all of the gritty details there.
And because we like to abuse our bodies so much from lack of sleep, we also made a trip down to Jacksonville, Florida to see our friends Jacob and Aaron Brunelle and attend the premiere of their new video, “Island Hoppin’ and Clutch Poppin’”. The video follows Geared Up, Kyle Woods, Joe Dryden and more as they make their way from Saipan, Guam, and finally Puerto Rico with all of the insanity you would expect from that crew along the way. The video was filmed by Craig Beckman and Jon “LT” Theis and put together right here at Nascency, so it is definitely worth a look or two! We currently have copies in stock and are shipping now so if you feel the need for some new visual stimulation grab this sucker up!
So that the latest from all of us here…I can’t wait until the riding seasons for everyone get in full swing, then we might actually get busy around here!

Andy Niles

We are in the process of updating the look of the site. A year is a long time to go without a site design change for us, so I think we are doing good! As of right now the photo gallery is down (again) as all of us here are on the quest to find a gallery that will fit our needs and wants. So bear with us while we get that whole mess figured out. Also, check out the new links on the side of the page, a whole bunch of sites, friends, etc that we support and they support our work here at The Nascency Project.

post Get Ready, Here We Come…And Intersection Update…

Swiss Moto flyer

Alot of people have been asking about the availability of Intersection, our latest streetbike freestyle DVD release. Due to some problems with the master sent out for mass replication we have had to push back the available date to February 14th. I want to personally apologize to everyone who has been waiting but I can assure you that it will be worth it. If you have tried to contact us directly either via phone or e-mail we will get back to you personally but we also wanted everyone to know the status of this video.
All existing orders will be shipped either on Feb. 14th or early Feb. 15th before we head out of town until the end of the month. No orders will be shipped from February 15th until March 1st, as no one will be here to process the orders.
The Nascency crew is heading to Europe for the Indoor World Streetbike Championships, held in Zurich, Switzerland. We will spend a few days in Paris, France with our friends at Street Monsters Magazine before roadtripping into Switzerland for the contest. Aaron Twite and Josh Borne have been invited to compete in this contest as well, so expect to see a ton of pics, video and solid riding from this European excursion!

post Just a Piece…

Lets change gears for just a second. Everyone knows that we had the New Years release for Intersection at Lenny’s Bar right here in Atlanta. But if you weren’t there then you missed out on some absolutely amazing underground hip hop! Among the groups that played that night (and really the guys responsible for throwing the whole party) were our friends, Ricky Raw, Elemental Emcee, and Cypher Linguistics…the Dropbombz crew.

Well, if you did miss it then here is a chance to redeem yourself. Check out the Dropbombz live set, uncut! This piece of video still does not do their live show justice though so you need to check them out when they hit up a venue near you.

Dropbombz - New Years Eve

We will have more footage slowly coming out from that whole party over the next few months, so make sure you keep up to date with everything here at Nascency! We also have some pretty cool announcements coming here in the next day or two, so make sure to keep your eye open for those as well!

post Intersection, New Years Eve and Stunt Wars…

January 11th, 2008

Filed under: Action Sports, Events, News — admin @ 6:23 am

Wow, where to start! Well, we finally finished Intersection, a video about streetbike freestyle riding right here in our hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. For over a year we filmed all of the street rides, lot sessions, and everything in between and tried to show the world that you can leave behind all of the hype, drama, and industry hoopla and just have fun. I think we accomplished that! Featured riders like Aaron Twite, Darrick Stafford, Josh Borne, Chris Pfeiffer, Gary Hefferan, Suicidl, Scott Massari, Guru Khalsa, Andy Niles, Ryan Lanier, Kevin Stickley, Jason Miskiewicz, Rodney Sargent, Chad Cohran absolutely rode their collective butts off the entire time and between all of us we came out with something none of us will ever forget.

The premiere was held on New Years Eve at Lennys Bar in downtown Atlanta and not only featured Intersection but live, underground hip hop from the Dropbombz crew and friends. We had hip hop, videos, some riding, adult beverages, and general mass mayhem all night, who could have asked for more!

The video is now available for purchase in the Nascency store, along with our usual assortment of tee shirts, watercraft videos, and hoodies. Check it out!

And here we are now, two weeks later. In a few hours the Nascency crew (sans Brad Rorabacher) is rolling out for Stunt Wars. Expect alot of pics and video to come out of this little excursion as Rhonda, Heidi, and myself head down to Florida for the annual ritual of riding, networking, and hanging out. People have been stopping by the house for the last week and a half on their way down to the event, so not a whole lot of work has gotten accomplished but man we have had fun!

I wanted to give a big thanks to everyone out there that has supported us over the last year and into this new year. It means alot to all of us here at Nascency and all I can say is we are looking forward to a very busy year providing the world with some of the highest quality and most comprehensive coverage of motorsports out there, period.

post The Nascency Project and Jack9.com…

Jack9.com Logo

So, do you want to watch “Phoenix Rising” but can’t get the download and don’t know anyone with a copy? I have the solution for everyone! There is a website out there now playing whole videos for free. No registering, no downloading, just good clean streaming video.

http://www.jack9.com

Jack9 has segments from “Phoenix Rising” up online right now, along with a ton of other videos for everyone to check out. All of the sportbike videos are under the Moto-Z channel but I also have the jet ski video, “The Addiction”, that we did last year on the Earth-X channel…

Look for more stuff in the future from The Nascency Project and Jack9…freestyle motocross, streetbike, jet ski, break dancing and underground hip hop…

The video is cut into its individual segments to make viewing easier, and sometimes the names are slightly different. To navigate to see all of the shows hit the “Shows” tab on the top left of the video player and then go to the Moto-Z channel…then just select a show you want to view!

Thanks for checking it out!
